Jess Malafronte, owner and director of The Vision Dance Alliance, has been teaching and performing professionally in the field of dance for over 15 years. She holds her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University where she was named their 2008 Marjory J. Turner Choreography Prize recipient.
Dance has always been a big part of Jess’ life. Her dance education spans over 30 years from her early days as a competitive dancer to her higher education where she studied modern dance, ballet, ballet composition, choreography, dance history, anatomy, kinesiology, percussion, rhythmic analysis, African, Flamenco, theater production, and numerous other subjects. It is due to this education that Jess accredits her ability to be a well rounded, knowledgeable educator and choreographer for her students and to provide safe and effective instruction for all ages and levels.
Jess takes pride in the quality education which she has provided to her students for nearly two decades. Her students and dances have received top achievements across the northeast and the throughout entire country. Jess’ students are amongst some of the highest nationally ranked dancers winning top placements at The Dance Awards, Radix Nationals, and NYCDA Nationals. Her choreography has received countless accolades and her group dances continue to receive top placings amongst the toughest competition out there.
Jess is a firm believer that dance students can achieve their absolute personal best if nothing less than their best is expected of them. That is the environment she will forever maintain at The Vision Dance Alliance.
